Chapter Mission Statement
In the Great state of Texas We Have over 17,000 Homeless Veterans on our street. It is our mission to dramatically Reduce this number. In order to do this we need your support! We have work programs in place to help these needy veterans get back on the feet as well as giving them a place to call home. Our program allows Men and woman to collect donations at our designated donation sites. What this does is it allows the members to Educate the public on our homelessness situation we have, and also gives the public a chance to help if they wish. Our donations goes to programs in the VA’s in the local areas as well as programs our organization have in place. We have a national transitional house that allows Veterans to be in a clean, safe and sober environment. We as the Texas chapter of V.S.O will Ship homeless Veterans to this facility until we have enough donations to start our on transitional housing available locally. It is our Vision to have this shelter in place by the middle of this year. Until then we will bring Veterans who are ready to help themselves into our work program to get them back on their feet. We do have housing available for our work program in the greater Austin Area.

VSO has work programs for Veterans and Non-Veterans that collect donations to help our veterans. This work program serves a dual purpose as the funds collected are helping Veterans in need while homeless and/or unemployed are being provided work and the ability to improve the quality of their life. VSO is a true non-profit charitable organization where your donations go to supporting American veterans.
